Corn Picking Experience

Enjoy an amazing experience in a corn farm in Penafiel!

Surrounded by green fields, immersed in rurality, our farm are an option for a short break or a longer stay, in rural tourism and holiday homes, in contact with nature, culture and traditions.

At harvest time, the corn harvest is available to anyone who wants to try it.

But there are also kayaks to ride on the Tâmega River. For those who want a more cultural enjoyment, it is good to remember that we are in the center of the Route of the Romanesque and there are historical monuments to visit.

This experience is more of a manual labor activity. Explain why the corn is ready for harvest and observe the harvesting machines. Watching and helping, if you want, with the storage of corn in Beiral. Instead of using a drying machine, we continue to dry our corn traditionally on an eaves or granary. We can then also show the corn grinding process and serve cornbread to showcase a product.
