Quick Details
Enjoy a beekeeping tour and honey tasting close to Coruche!
The Bee-Hive Expedition is a tour that offers participants the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of bees and their hives.
During the visit, participants are guided by a beekeeping expert, who provides detailed information about bee behavior, their role in the ecosystem and the importance of pollination.
The expedition begins with an introduction to the necessary protective equipment and safety rules to follow during a visit. Participants are then taken to an area where the hives are located.
Upon arriving close to the hives, participants have the opportunity to observe the bees in action, while the guide explains in detail how the hive works and the bees’ social organization. It’s about observing the different possible castes of bees, including the queen bee, workers and drones, and learning about their specific role within the colony.
During the expedition, participants also have the opportunity to have hands-on experience with bees. Under the guide’s supervision, activities can be carried out such as identifying the queen inside the hive, handling honeycomb frames and even collecting fresh honey directly from the hives.
Additionally, the guide will be on hand to answer any questions attendees may have about bees or beekeeping in general.
The Bee-Hive Expedition offers a unique and immersive educational experience, providing a deeper understanding of the importance of bees and encouraging the conservation of these specific insects to our ecology.
