Why are some olives green and others black? Take the tour and you will know!!The Olive factory was a a last minute decision on our trip to Tavira, but a must see just minutes from the river area. A small family run olive factory with a very informative and personable guide -Andrea, and her mother and sister too. After tour tasting was far more than expected.
We were blown away by this experience. A mother and her 2 daughters running a very structured and informative tour about the olive production process. The food tasting of the olives and local products was delightful (cheeses, jams, olives, oils, meats, wines and many more). A lot of the products we tasted were made on one of the daughters farms including freshly squeezed orange juice. The experience was educational without being overwhelming and was very well delivered. When you choose to do this tour be sure to arrive with an empty stomach ! The products available to purchase are at very reasonable prices also. From the moment we arrived until we left we were greeted with smiles and warmth which made the whole experience 10/10. Thank you again for this wonderful experience.
