Our Producer
Our farm is a large, restored, early 1800s family-owned vineyard estate, located between the Silves, Monchique, and Lagoa in the Algarve.
The estate was founded in 1810 by the count of Silves and is still in the possession of the family—and it’s a family story where a passion for the land, food and entertaining merges with a love of local heritage, beauty, and conservation.
Working with the historic buildings and the old vineyards and olive trees that surround them, we have created a thoughtful place with love and attention to every detail.
Farm History
The estate’s vineyards are some of the oldest in the Algarve and provide the indigenous grapes which make up our award-winning Algarve wines and around the estate, there are cottages which can host guests who want to be part of our history.
We hope you will experience a real connection to the land, the seasons and nature, and we invite you to rest, relax and enjoy this Algarve country idyll.
Join us for an end-of-day tasting as we pour a variety of our vineyard’s wines.
The focus of the Wine Experience Program is to share our passion for our 50-70-year-old vines (which are solely of indigenous grape varieties and treated organically), as well as our old olive oil press, our 2.000-year-old olive tree, one of the oldest in Portugal, as well as to provide insight into how food and wine are such a significant part of Algarvian culture.
Enjoy an intimate 60-minute tour and tasting experience that explores the history of the estate, its unique terroir, and its exciting wines, while you savour a local artisan cheese and charcuterie selection.

We had an amazing tour with an great guide who explained everything about the history of the winery and how the wine is made. The tasting was an great experience with very good wine and very good local food. We will for sure order more wine from this small winery as they deliver globally. We will come back for another tasting.

Fantastic wine tasting experience with Duarte, who was both informative and funny. The three wines we tasted were excellent and we bought two of each from the shop. The meats, cheese and bread nibbles were generous and were as addictive as the wine!
