Wonderful experience! Malou Camara

This was such a wonderful experience. Every time I come to Portugal, I make sure to embark on one learning activity so I get to know the country, the people, the culture. The Alentejo fascinates me and the people who live in it are some of the most authentic people I have met in all my travels. João is now part of that group. His vision for his business and the heart, soul and passion he and his family pour into making his Galega olive oil representative of this region's story is something tourists like me support wholeheartedly. I hope to come back again, with the rest of my family next time, and enjoy once more the warm hospitality of the Alentejo people.

Olive oil Tasting Tour
Don't miss this experience! Heidi Goetz

I love olive oil, cook with it and eat it frequently so this seemed like it would be an interesting experience... But it was that and so much more! We enjoyed learning about how and where Portuguese olive oil is made. I wasn't sure how I would feel about tasting olive oil 'straight', but it is necessary to really appreciate the flavors and learn the difference between better quality and lesser quality oils, like one does with wine tasting (but much smaller tastes! 😉). Of course, my favorite tastes were with the homemade bread baked fresh by Ricardo's wife, Andréia! So, don't miss this experience! Ricardo is a warm, friendly and fun host. This was an easy and relaxing 35 minute drive from Nazaré. A bonus was being able to purchase some of the wonderful oils we tried. We asked about them... there is no pressure at all to do so.

Fabulous experience! Sarah H.

We spent part of the day at the farm. We spent a lot of time talking about the olive oil production, the animals (donkeys...), the vegetable garden, the geological knowledge, the generosity +++, the incredible welcome, the overflowing kindness, the superb tasting, the meal with very good and plentiful agricultural products in a fantastic setting, and in the background the sound of cicadas. Jorge is very friendly, smiling, sharing advice and knowledge. Jorge is surrounded by a truly exceptional team!!! One word: congratulations to them and thank you for this day!!
