Enjoy a dairy farm experience in the Azores

Visit a dairy farm, milk a cow by hand, taste the milk, interact with a local farmer, and learn all about cows and dairy production. The meeting point is at the Happy Kiosk next to the marina of the city of Praia da Vitória. From there, travel into the countryside along the paths used by farmers to observe the various breeds of cows used both in milk production and meat production. The various tasks related to milk production are explained, as well as the processes of production of feed for livestock — an excellent opportunity to contemplate nature and take photographs. Once on the farm, milk a cow and taste the milk, and spend time with the cows in the field. Proceed to the milk collection point, where the process is explained and the delivery of the milk by local farmers can be observed. After time in the rural areas of the island, return to Praia da Vitória for a short visit to the city’s most interesting spots, finishing with a cheese and wine tasting.
