Experience the natural beauty and flavors of Porto Fruit Farm!
We are a 5th generation farm focused on growing traditional and modern fruits. Our methods are based on Permaculture, regenerative and sintropic agriculture.
The experience is based on a guided farm tour with a description of our approach on regenerating ecosystems and integrating animals on wine cultivation. We have a unique collection of plants, berries and fruit trees from all over the world combined with a vineyard. Imagine a place where in one day you can try 15 different apples or 20 different cherries, or 30 different grapes, all that in a few hours…That’s what you will find here.
You will be able to try exotic fruits and plants all thru the year, starting with citrus in the winter with the most sweet oranges, then we have the Cherry trees flowering in March that create a beautiful Japanese forest experience, the first cherries we start to enjoy mid May and there is enough for everyone to get full. This period we also enjoy the delicious mulberries that are a favorite for many people. In june the plums start followed by Peaches and Apricots. In July we have the Pears and Apples and in August the grapes. To close the year there are Persimmons and kiwis and thru Christmas.
We hope for everyone to try at least 10 different fruits during the visit but we work with Nature so everything depends on the season and what is available. If you visit our farm during a harvesting season you can also be part of and see the grapes, cherries or apples harvest.
