Have a special Grape Harvest Experience close to Viseu!
Enjoy all the beauty and essence of Douro at a winery located between Pinhão and São João da Pesqueira, near to the small village of Ervedosa do Douro.
The winery opened in May 2017, with the purpose of presenting Churchill’s concept and the company’s Douro and Port wines. The old baronial house was carefully restored, combining history and innovation, with modern day comforts which will make you feel quite at home.
The activity will begin in the morning, with you receiving your Douro kit and getting ready to join our viticulture team in the ancient traditions of grape harvesting. In the middle of the morning, you’ll have time to enjoy a snack in the “Caseiros” kitchen to recharge your batteries.
After the strengthening of the stomach, it will be time to taste our wines, where you will appreciate the difference between wines aged in bottle and barrel, including two Vintage Ports and two Tawnys. Then you’ll head to the old granite mills dating from 1852 where you’ll join our grape stomping team, where fun will abound.
At the end, you’ll enjoy the rest of your day immersed in pleasure, with a delicious regional lunch, perfectly accompanied by Churchill’s fresh and elegant Douro wines and a special Port.
